Our food waste recycling campaign

Throughout September, we ran a campaign to encourage people across the borough to do amazing things with their food waste! This included highlighting the benefits of recycling food waste in creating a greener, healthier borough, and providing tips for recipes that utilise leftovers.

During the month we -

• ran a competition giving local schoolchildren the chance to name our food waste recycling vehicle
• hosted our very own “Grow Show” with The Black Gardener Danny Clarke
• featured food waste recycling tips in Islington Life, our quarterly magazine
• visited amazing community projects like the Octopus Community Plant Nursery and Cook for Good
