About the project

Islington Council is committed to making recycling as easy and convenient as possible for our residents on estates. We believe recycling facilities on Arbon Court estate don't offer you enough recycling capacity for you to recycle everything that you can.

We have developed a proposal for improving the recycling facilities on the estate and welcome your views on this proposal. The proposal has been developed in partnership with your local housing officers and caretakers following a number of site visits. The improvement proposal includes:

  • Additional recycling bin and new fire-resistant bin enclosures.
  • Creation of a new recycling area and co-location of recycling and food waste bins.
  • Improved recycling signs with more recycling information for residents.
  • Improved bulky waste area.

Improvement works will be fully funded and will not be recharged to residents.

    Thank you for taking part.

    The issue of fly-tipping on the estate was raised by residents of the estate. To address this problem, we are liaising with the Enforcement team to arrange additional signage to be installed in the recycling area.

    No other changes have been made to the plans included in the improvement proposal as a result of this consultation. Site works will be carried out as planned and begin in January 2024.
