Islington Greener Together
Islington Council launched round two of the Islington Greener Together programme in February 2024, inviting residents, businesses, and community groups—with support from their neighbours—to submit ideas to green publicly accessible spaces in their neighbourhoods. With the support of the council, local people can bring their ideas to life and make their streets greener. One of these streets is Godson Street, where local people have told us that they would like to introduce greening along the street.
Godson Street
Godson Street is a pedestrianised street situated between Chapel Market and White Lion Street, within the Barnsbury Ward.
Co-design workshop
We will be holding a workshop on Wednesday 27 November 2024, from 4pm-5pm. During the workshop, attendees will work in groups and take part in a design exercise, where they can share their ideas and mark up plans to show where and what types of changes they would like to see in the area. The suggestions made will be used to help shape the initial proposal for Godson Street.
If you would like to attend the workshop, please register your interest by following the link here and completing the form. You can also sign up in-person at Islington Town Hall reception (N1 2UD). We will confirm your place and details of the location by email or phone; please only attend if you receive this confirmation, as spaces are limited. Priority will be given to residents and businesses within close proximity to the project.
Following the workshop on Wednesday 27 November 2024, the suggestions made will be used to help shape the initial proposal for Godson Street. Our aim is to share the initial proposal and invite feedback from local people in early 2025.
