What happened to people friendly streets?!

I’m so disappointed that you massively wasted our time engaging and going to meetings on this project, got our hopes up that you might actually alleviate some of the huge increase in fumes and traffic on Offord rd then just dropped it all. How can you expect people to bother engaging with you when you act like that? Hugely unprofessional, disappointing and frustrating.

We are sorry to hear of your frustration and disappointment.  We are very grateful for the feedback provided during the first two phases of engagement for the Barnsbury and Laycock Liveable Neighbourhood and would like to reassure you that we are committed to bringing forward proposals that align with our commitment to create a greener, cleaner and healthier borough.   We had a lot of feedback, so we are taking more time than first anticipated to incorporate this and make sure we have a robust plan that meets the needs of the local community and area. We are currently aiming to hold a public consultation this year.   To be notified when the consultation begins, you can subscribe on the Barnsbury and Laycock Liveable Neighbourhood project page (https://www.letstalk.islington.gov.uk/barnsbury-laycock-liveable-neighbourhood). There is a widget in the section on the right-hand side called ‘Stay Informed - Subscribe for project updates’ where you can submit your email address. This will add you to the mailing list for an automatic notification for the next stage of the project where you will be able to provide further feedback.                                                                                                        Best wishes,  Barnsbury and Laycock Liveable Neighbourhood team
