John Kennedy Court Recycling Improvement Consultation
Background
Islington's 2023-2025 waste and recycling reduction plan sets out our goal to recycle 40% of the waste collected from households in Islington, to create a cleaner, greener, heathier borough.
To achieve this goal, we are committed to:
- Providing all estates with enough recycling bins so that residents can recycle at all times
- Placing recycling bins in a convenient location for residents
- Maintaining recycling facilities to a good standard
- Engaging with residents to achieve higher levels of recycling on our estates
By focusing on the objectives noted above, we aim to make it easier for residents to recycle more at John Kennedy Court.
The council plans to spend £2 million over the course of three years to ensure facilities on estates are clean, well-maintained and easy to use. Therefore, this project is not rechargeable to residents.
John Kennedy Court
John Kennedy Court does not have enough communal recycling bins. We propose installing communal recycling bins that are placed in enclosures, to allow residents to get rid of their recycling whenever they need to and keep the estate clean and tidy.
Please take a moment to read through the proposal saved under the supporting documents tab and let us know which location you would prefer us to install enclosures for John Kennedy Court 17-34 by using the quick poll tool at the bottom of the page. A summarised version of the proposals can be seen below.
Following that, please use the map to pinpoint suggested locations for new recycling bins with enclosures for John Kennedy Court 35-84.
