Consultation has concluded
Following consultation, this project has now been implemented.
We have received an application from your fellow-residents for a section of Kiver Road between No.16 and No.40 to become a Play Street from 2.00pm-5.00pm, every first Sunday of the month with effect from February 2024.
Play Street events are short, stewarded road closures, giving children the chance to play safely near home and making the street feel safer and friendlier for everyone. Residents of all ages, with or without children, will be welcome to come out and enjoy the street free of traffic for this time. Parents will be responsible for their own children as normal. Through traffic will be diverted but residents and visitors wanting to park on the street will be asked to drive in and out at walking speed, escorted by a volunteer steward from the street. Residents will not be asked to move their cars from the street.
As part of this process, we are seeking the views of residents who live on the street. If you would like to comment on this consultation, please complete our short survey.
For further information, please contact the Traffic and Safety team on 020 7527 2000 or by email at road.safety@islington.gov.uk.
Consultation will close at midnight on Wednesday, 20 December.
