Mental Health Recovery Pathway Procurement
Islington Council currently have a contract with Islington MIND to deliver the Mental Health Recovery Pathway service.
This contract comes to an end in October 2024, so we need to go through a procurement process to put in place a new contract with an organisation that provides this type of service, such as Islington Mind or another similar organisation.
This is a normal process that happens every few years, which we have to do by law. The new contract will start in November 2024.
Early Intervention and Prevention
There are an increasing number of residents who need help with their mental health. People from different communities are affected and will need different types of help. The Council needs to make sure that its services are suited for anyone who might need them.
The new service must meet the needs of people who currently use the service as well as those who may need support in future.
We want the service to focus on early intervention to recognise problems early on and offer help to prevent problems from happening again. Also, we want to make sure people can access support in their local community.
We have created a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Glossary to try and answer any questions you may have.
Please email Mhcommissioning@islington.gov.uk if you would like further information.
What is happening now?
We are talking to residents to make sure we get the best understanding of what you want and need from a recovery service. You are the experts and can tell us what you need now or might need in the future.
