A Prospectus of Ideas for the Nag’s Head town centre – your ideas are wanted
We are working with the local business community, residents, and other stakeholders to develop a Prospectus of Ideas for the Nag’s Head town centre and would like your views.
The prospectus will highlight local assets and current town centre projects. It will also present opportunities and a shared vision for the town centre - whilst encapsulating the council's community wealth building approach and its key priorities. The overall aim is to increase local stakeholders’ sense of ownership, stimulate positive ideas, and help to guide and shape change and investment, as well as lever in future funding, including from prospective developers. The final prospectus will be developed by the end of 2024. It will take the form of a summary printed document, as well as a microsite that can be kept updated as new projects or plans arise.
Please share your views on Nag's Head's longer-term future, regarding social, cultural, economic and environmental issues and aspirations. We will share these with Office S&M Architects who are working with Islington Council on the prospectus, supported by Holloway Neighbourhood Group. We value your ideas and they may inform our future approach to the development of the town centre, but this is only the start of a process. There is currently no funding in place to implement new projects, but the prospectus will help in the process of sourcing future funding.
We would particularly like to hear from you about:
What are a couple of things you most like about Nag’s Head Town Centre?
What projects do you think would improve the town centre environment?
How do you think social life/qualities of the town centre could be improved?
What initiatives do you think could help the economy of the town centre?
In the next 5 or 10 years, what key improvements could make Nag’s Head more cohesive and inviting, a place you would want to visit more frequently?
Any other comments?
Do you live and/or work in the town centre or nearby, or visit from elsewhere?
The consultation period will run from Friday18 October 2024 until Sunday 17 November 2024.
